When giving you the forecast for your future sales, we also measure the accuracy of that forecast as each day goes by.
This way we can track how our algorithm is working to ensure our AI keeps learning to do better, so you get as accurate future sales as possible.
Tenzo measures Accuracy by calculating MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage of Error), which is a percentage of the difference between the forecast and your actual sales. You can read more about MAPE here.
Where can I see the Accuracy?
If you have the Forecasting module in your Tenzo account, on the left-sidebar menu you will see an option for Planning > Accuracy:
What Cards can I use to see MAPE?
There are also specific cards that show you forecast accuracy (MAPE).
If you want to see all of your MAPEs together check out this card (Forecast Accuracy, L7D), comparing your Tenzo, Manager and Budget MAPEs for the last seven days. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you would like to have Forecast Accuracy, L7D card added to your dashboard or reports.
Looking at the Forecast Accuracy, L7D card you will notice the use of Budget and Forecast, while at face value they may appear to be the same in Tenzo we use them quite differently. You can read more about them here.
If you are interested in knowing more about our Forecasting module or have any questions, we are always available at support@gotenzo.com.
Happy Tenzoing!
