In Tenzo we offer two ways of looking at your data:
- Modules: these are static reports that will provide you with all the levels of detail for your data. You can go here when you want to do a deep-dive into your data, or need to do a big export:
- Dashboards: these are customisable reports that are meant to provide you with the KPIs that you normally look at on a Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis. Say that you want to monitor your Average Transaction Value, you can have a report for this in your dashboard:
-
- Dashboards are made of multiple Cards. You can think of a Card as an ad-hoc pivot table that will display your data in the way that you need it. You can learn more about Cards here.
- Dashboards can be:
- Added to a users’ side menu;
- Sent by email;
- Exist in the Dashboard library and be accessed/shared on an ad hoc basis.

Where do I find Dashboards?
If you are an Administrator of your Tenzo account, head to Admin > Explore:
Once in Explore, you can either:
- Explore the available cards and add a card to an existing or new dashboard; or
- Explore existing dashboards or create a new dashboard from scratch, then add cards to it.
How to explore Cards
The easiest way to explore cards in using the Card Wizard: it’s a step by step approach that takes you to the best card based on your criteria.
If you know exactly what you are looking for, you can also use the Cards search feature, based on filters such as module, dimensions, date period, etc.
We suggest using Card Wizard for a better experience and more tailored results.
How to Create a New Dashboard
A dashboard can be organised in multiple tabs. You can have maximum 4 tabs in a dashboard.
Each tab will contain a set of multiple cards.
For example, you can have a tab for Daily data and one for Weekly:
If you scroll to the bottom of your dashboard, you will see this option to search for Cards:
Once you've found the Card you are looking for, just click "Add to dashboard":
Once you've added the card, you can also modify its settings by clicking on the settings cog on the bottom right corner of each card; with this, you can make the card be standard or double width/height when displaying in your Dashboard:
Once you're done, click "Create Dashboard". This will save the changes.
How can I Edit an existing Dashboard?
If you want to edit a dashboard or change the menu pin options you can do so from the dashboard meatball menu, accessible on the Dashboard view page and on the Explore page:
From here onwards, the system works just like when you're building a new dashboard and searching for cards as per the steps above.
How can I delete a Dashboard?
If you want to delete a dashboard you can do so from the dashboard meatball menu:
You will be prompted to confirm the action by typing the name of the dashboard:
IMPORTANT:
Once you delete a dashboard, IT CANNOT BE RECOVERED.
Everyone in your business who has access to these features can delete dashboards created by them or by someone else, so please be careful and ensure a good internal communication is in place to avoid the accidental deletion of any dashboard.
How to manage Dashboard permissions
A dashboard can be owned by:
- Tenzo
- These are dashboards that we have created in response to the most common use cases we see among our customers;
- You can’t edit or delete them but you can “Edit as new”, which means you can use them as a starting point and tweak them based on your needs.
- Your Business
- These are dashboards that an Administrator of your business has created;
- Any user with the same level of permission can create, edit, edit as new and delete any dashboard owned by your business, no matter who in the business has created them.
- Yourself
- These are dashboards that you have created and set as yours;
- No one apart from you can access, edit or delete them.
You can make any dashboards that belong to Tenzo or to Your Business visible in the side menu for the User Groups of your choice, on web and/or mobile.
Private dashboards automatically go into the “My dashboards” section in your side menu.
You can also review and update your business Side Menu settings on the Side Menu Admin page.
If you have any questions or feedback about how to create, edit and assign Dashboards, feel free to ask your Customer Success Manager or email us at any time at support@gotenzo.com.
